We’re highly experienced in working across many technical industries, such as petrochemical sites and marine locations.

Asbestos is a set of six naturally occurring silicate minerals that were commonly used in construction throughout the 20th Century. Following the realisation that the fibres asbestos releases are an extreme health hazard, it was fully banned in the UK in 1999. Even now, it remains one of the most prevalent causes of workplace deaths in the UK, with over 5000 deaths due to asbestos-related disease per year.
Refurbishment, alteration and demolition projects are all impacted by the prior use of asbestos in buildings. If the material condition and type are recognised as dangerous, professional advice and removal is essential.
Here at Beech Group, we are fully audited and qualified to remove all forms of asbestos. Our methods ensure that we follow all procedures, such as:
Establishing proper asbestos decontamination facilities
Securing a dedicated transit route
Practising face fit testing on all workers
Proper bagging, storing and disposing of asbestos
You must have a full survey (and, if needed, asbestos removal) conducted by a competent surveyor or contractor. It is extremely important to factor in a realistic amount of time for this. Asbestos removal is covered by specific regulations: there is a strict 14-day notice period (applies to notifiable forms of asbestos) to the HSE before works can take place.
It goes without saying that the removal of asbestos from a site if fibres are at risk of becoming dislodged is an absolute necessity. Hiring a recognised expert, trusted by blue-chip companies for our asbestos removal services, is key to ensuring the process is performed efficiently and safely. Following careful surveying and asbestos removal, previously high-risk buildings and areas can be used again.
Beech Group work in partnership right from the start with their clients to ensure the delivery of a safe, on time and on budget service. Time and time again.
